Barbenheimer

When we scored invites to the New York premieres of Barbie and Oppenheimer, Jason and I immediately fired up the LeJay private jet for a flight from Australia straight to the Big Apple. Sure, 14 hours in flight is a bit blah, but for these two hotly anticipated films? We'd travel to the ends of the earth.

Jason insisted on wearing his ridiculous neck pillow the whole way. I tried persuading him to use the cashmere eye mask I brought instead, but he refused to ditch that hideous inflated ring. Some people have zero sense of style.

We landed at Teterboro to avoid the crowds at JFK and choppered directly to the Plaza, where naturally the Royal Suite was awaiting us. I had to subtly drop our names before the concierge realized we were dealing with high-level influencers here...

For the big premieres, I chose a flowing fuschia gown for myself and a slim black suit for Jason. He complained nonstop about it being too tight, but as I told him, sometimes you need to suffer for the perfect Instagram shot.

We carb-loaded at Barney Greengrass because Jason insisted only their salmon stacked up to his beloved dish from The Kitchen@50 back in Australia. Personally I found it rather subpar. But with Jason's appetite appeased, we were ready for showtime!

Barbie was a laugh riot - we were doubled over the entire screening. But Oppenheimer scared us stupid - we were gripping each other's hands the whole time and only the fond memory of Margot Robbie dressed in pink got us through..

And who should we spot on our way out but Cillian Murphy! He came over and planted a tender kiss right on my cheek. When I asked for a selfie to remember the moment, he declined, whispering slyly "I never kiss and tell."

What a scoundrel! Still, I'll cherish that peck forever. All in all, a fabulous NYC getaway for Team LeJay. Now we already have our sights set on returning next year! Maybe by then Jason will finally let me style him properly. A influencer can dream!
