They've shot a factory once. They turn up in runners, with a case full of gear nobody's risk assessed, and they want to know why they can't stand there. Your safety advisor makes a call. The day goes sideways. You spend the next fortnight explaining it.

What we hold
Industry Safety Induction through Safer Together. That's the energy industry's ticket to work, and it's accepted by operators and contractors across the board. On top of it: confined space entry, gas detection, and working at heights.
We don't carry standing site tickets and we don't pretend to. We do your induction, on your site, to your standard, before we shoot. Operators prefer it that way. So do we. It means nobody is relying on a certificate issued somewhere else two years ago.
Public liability cover of $20 million. Professional indemnity of $10 million. Workers compensation in place. Certificates of currency on request, same day.

We've photographed workers at Roma, Fairview and Arcadia Valley. We've taken a helicopter into a gas field because the roads were under water and the shoot was still happening that week. Twenty five years, 1,042 projects, and a lot of them in the heat and the dust.
Four weeks. Every BHP site in Australia.
BHP sent us around the country to photograph the lot. Iron ore in the Pilbara at Newman, Jimblebar and Area C. Underground at Olympic Dam and Carrapateena. Metallurgical coal at Broadmeadow. The export terminal at Hay Point.
Every one of those is a different risk regime. A different induction, a different permit system, a different set of rules about where a person is allowed to stand. We did all of them inside a month, and nobody stopped a shoot.
Add the gas fields at Roma, Fairview, Arcadia Valley, Moranbah and Dalby, and port and bulk handling at Gladstone. Hard rock, coal, gas and bulk export. Underground, wellhead and wharf.
That's why your induction is a formality for us rather than an education.
Queensland is home and most of the work is here. When a job is worth travelling for, we travel.
Questions people ask before they call
Do we need to induct your crew before filming on our mine site?
Yes, and we want you to. Tell us the format and how long it takes and we'll build it into the schedule. If it's a full day, it's a full day. We'd rather lose the morning than lose the site.
Can Welcome to the Fold work inside a shutdown window?
Yes. Shutdowns are planned months out and so are we. Tell us the window and the constraints and we'll work to them. There's no second pass on a shutdown and we plan accordingly.
What tickets does your crew hold for confined spaces and elevated work?
We're accredited for confined space entry, trained in gas detection, and trained for working at heights. If the job needs a permit, we go through your permit system, not around it.
Who owns the footage after the shoot?
You do. We don't licence your operations back to you and we don't put your site in a showreel without asking first.
Can Welcome to the Fold travel to regional Queensland mine sites?
Yes. Brisbane based, Queensland wide, interstate when it makes sense. Surat Basin, Bowen Basin, Gladstone, the north west. Remote locations aren't an add-on for us, they're most of the work.

Drone
We have access to a CASA licensed pilot when a job genuinely needs aerials. It isn't our headline and we'll tell you when you don't need it.
